6. Differentiated Instruction
To gain access to NetTrekker you need to register through Michigan Learnport. Once you are logged into Michigan Learnport click on the links tab to access NetTrekker. NetTrekker is a very useful site for searching for lesson plans. The subscription is free for Learnport and that will take you for free to NetTrekker. Cllick on the link below to gain access to Michigan Learnport. NetTrekker has a text to speech option for most of the sites they search for you. In this thing, I was able to locate some fluency passages under the reading section of NetTrekker. Then I can have students go in read the passage and then listen to how it is supposed to sound.

Also withing differentiate instruction is a way to type in text to have it read aloud to students. I can record test reviews, directions on an assignment, or another set of instructions for students to listen to over and over again.

9. Digital Storytelling
Creating a digital story is fun and free. To start download the free software from Microsoft called Photo Story. This program will download onto your computer. You can put together photos, add text, zoom in or out of pictures, connect them with music, and show in windows media player as a slide show presentation that tells a story. I created one to go along with a personal narrative to show my class to emphasize the importance of including detail in our writing.

10. Website Creation
Here is the whole reason for this website. I had to create my own using weebly.com It was fun, easy, and free. Certain elements like videos I can't upload but I like the fact that I was able to create a website for my third graders to use. They can access websites that I find educational under our various topics of study. Using weebly has been very valuable and user friendly. I have always wanted to create my own website and now did.

Podcasting can come in handy when you want to make an announcement online. I did one for my morning routine for my class. i can see teachers using podcasts to read a story to have it stream online to read it outloud to a student. To create a podcast I had to download Audacity. Then I was able to record and edit my voice. I then saved it as an mp3 file in order to upload it onto my website.
